Our People

Teamwork Makes
Dreams Work.

Chapter One: Established 1974. E. John Post founded POST at the age of 22 — fresh from carpentry school, with years of experience and the goal of bringing high-level quality and service to every job. While the company’s beginnings were in custom home building, it was John’s grass-roots knowledge and love of farming that made agricultural building a natural fit.

Chapter Two: A Second Generation. Each of John’s sons grew up in the business with a hammer in their hands, learning construction from its very basics — starting by cleaning job sites and progressing to crew leaders. Beginning in 1999, celebrating 25 years in business, John’s sons joined their father upon graduation from their respective studies.

Chapter Three: Building for the Future. Today, the second generation leads the company forward. We continue building a strong team while keeping the business rooted in quality and developing rewarding client relationships. While we’ve been established since 1974, in many ways we still feel like a passionate start-up that has only just begun.

Who You’ll Work With

From first inquiry to final walkthrough, you’ll deal with named people — not a call centre, not a rotating sales queue.

Herman Post

President/CEO

Herman founded the second-generation leadership team that acquired the business from E. John Post. He sets the strategic direction for the company and maintains the client relationships built across five decades of construction in rural Ontario.

Josh Post

General Manager

Josh manages day-to-day business operations across the company — from scheduling and crew coordination to vendor relationships and project delivery. Grew up working on POST job sites and knows every part of the process from the ground up.

Mitch Rice

Sales/Project Management

Mitch description

Joop Feenstra

Project Manager/Estimator

Joop manages active projects from permit submission through site completion. Coordinates crews, tracks progress against schedule, and keeps clients informed at every stage. The direct line between the office and what’s happening on site.

Mike Post

Purchasing & Logistics

Mike manages materials procurement for every project — sourcing lumber, steel, hardware, and specialty components from suppliers we trust. His work keeps projects on schedule and ensures the materials that arrive on site meet our quality standards.

Tony Nijenhuis

Construction Manager

Tony oversees all field construction activity — crew performance, site safety, build quality, and on-site problem solving. With extensive hands-on experience across framing, metal cladding, and concrete work, he’s the standard the crews are held to.

Dan Hutten

Design Manager

Dan leads design from client brief to construction drawings. Responsible for translating site requirements, budget, and function into engineered plans — working across all sectors from equine facilities to commercial buildings.

Riya Taneja

Design

Riya works on technical drawings and design documentation — producing plans in Revit and CAD for agricultural, equine, and commercial projects. Works closely with Dan to take designs from concept through to a complete drawing set ready for permit and construction.

Jessica Tait

Permit Administration

Jessica manages the administrative side of active projects — from initial documentation and permit tracking to invoicing and client follow-up. The connective tissue that keeps every project file complete and every client informed throughout the process.

Build something that lasts.

POST Structures has been building in rural Ontario since 1974. We’re a close team of experienced people — project managers, estimators, designers, and tradespeople — and we grow carefully. We’re not looking to fill seats. We’re looking for people who take real pride in what they build.

If you want to develop your skills across a wide range of construction types — post-frame, glulam, timber, steel, concrete — and work on projects you can actually point to and say you built, this is a good place to be.

Accommodations are available during all phases of the recruitment process. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance to the HR Manager.
